Can I just walk in or do I need a reservation?

Our upcoming classes can be found here, and we encourage you to sign up in advance. You can also schedule private classes for groups of six or more. Our Glazed & Amazed Ceramics experience is available by appointment only, and we are happy to help you schedule your visit.

Do I need any experience to join a class?

We offer classes for all skill levels. With our beginners classes no experience is needed.

What age do participants need to be?

You’re never too old to be a potter! And for the younger once we offer specific classes for children. Our Glazed & Amazed Ceramics ready-to-paint experience is also a great option for kids when supervised by a parent or guardian.

What should I wear to a pottery class?

Pottery can be messy, but that’s part of the fun! We provide aprons, so you don’t need to worry too much about your clothing. However, we recommend wearing clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Maybe leave your Sunday church clothes at home for this one!

What is the difference between wheel-throwing and hand-building classes?

Wheel-throwing means creating pottery on a spinning wheel. This technique allows us to make pieces such as bowls, mugs, vases, and more. In hand-building classes, we use our hands to shape and build the clay without a wheel. This technique allows us to create pieces such as casserole dishes and anything else you can imagine. Which technique is best depends on what you want to create.
